  1. 1998 purchase Review by FAST EDDIE

I Purchased these grips in 1998 while in the military and have used them ever since. I replace the batteries every year during my annual tear-down and cleaning, and never had a problem. I adjusted them when purchased and the zero has not changed in 22 years.
The front activation button is conveniently located so when gripping the pistol the laser comes on without even thinking about it. The unit is chemical resistant and has not discolored from cleaning agents or wear from use. I am very pleased with these laser grips and would not hesitate to purchase another set for any of my firearms. (Posted on 7/8/2020)

  2. Red in day time not good. Review by Scotty

Had mine since 16 February 2014. Love this thing my only regret would be I should have gotten the green one. Red is nice in the dark, but in the day outside at the range not so much...Other than that...very reliable tool. Just point and click (Posted on 4/2/2020)

  3. I like it. Review by Kent

I have 2 Lg-301 CT laser sights on my 2 Colt 1911a1s and they are perfect, especially the side switches, I wish you made a LG-301 style laser grip for my Browning 1911-380. (Posted on 1/31/2020)

  4. Happy Kimber Customer Review by Scotez

My first set of Crimson Trace were for my Bersa Thunder. I was so pleased I ordered a second set for my Kimber Custom II. As you get older you really start to appreciate laser sights and there are none better than Crimson Trace. The only complaint I have is that when I tried to order a set for my Mossberg 500 they are out of stock and have been for awhile. (Posted on 2/3/2019)

  5. Air pistol Review by Smit

I have this CT grip on my German made air pistol (Beeman P1/HW45 in .20calibre). They retail for around $450
I had to trim the right safety For the laser to travel.

Awesome practice weapon if you own a colt45 or 1911. This laser site was the best choice though some people in the airgun community think it was too expensive. In my opinion, it’s the way to go. Have it for 8 yrs with no problem. I use this practice airpistol everyday with this laser . (Posted on 4/3/2018)

  6. One of the best upgrades a owner can do. Review by PJ

I'm very thrilled my CT grips. Let's start with the easy installation. The documents was clear and concise. My CT grips have improved accuracy in low light to dark situations <2". A market leading guarantee. Batteries for life what more could one ask for. I might drain them in 6 months with all the night practice I'm doing now.

  7. Low Light Equalizer Review by Jesse

Sighting in was fast and easy. I set mine to 15 yards. I have an older Charles Daly that I had to trim the ambidexterous safety on but it works just fine. Have had no problems with it losing point of impact and very visible in low light requirement for sight acquisition...just follow the red dot. Even in daylight, if on the wrong end of the red know it...great plus factor for anyone...bought a Master Series for other 1911 so didn't need to trim safety...just as great...thanks for the product. 8. First time shooters Review by wideglide_07

Had to relate my experience teaching complete newbies to shoot using CT grips. I have Japanese customers who come to the states once a year for business. A different set every year. It has now become a tradition that I take them to the range and allow them to experience shooting a real firearm which they cannot do in Japan. After a brief safety lecture and explaining what proper trigger control is, they are soon scoring bulls at 10 yards with a 1911 .45 ACP. If these people can achieve that kind of accuracy having only an hour or two of hands on practice, anyone with a familiarity with their firearm can do much better in no time. Can't imagine any of my personal defense weapons without a CT laser now. (Posted on 11/9/2015)

  9. First set of CT grips Review by wideglide_07

This is the first set of CT grips i have owned. Simple quick installation and right on the mark straight out of the box. Intuitive activation switch brings laser on without thought and allows instant target acquisition. If you can see your target and have a clear path from muzzle to target you can hit without doubt. Allows you to shoot from cover without exposing much for return fire. Not having to bring the weapon in line with eyes allows for some very unorthodox firing solutions! (Posted on 11/9/2015)

  10. Top Quality Product Review by Bryan

I have had these grips on my Springfield 1911 for over 4 years now. All I can say is that these are very durable and work flawlessly. I have been through several 100's of rounds and the dot stays on target. I have never had to adjust since the initial sight-in. This adds to the piece of mind you get when this is a daily CC weapon. When target acquisition is needed, it will be very assuring you're going to hit where the dot is. I have recommended Crimson Trace to several others and will continue to purchase other fine products from them. (Posted on 9/21/2015)

  11. A great laser Review by TumbleWeed

Crimson Trace is the best laser system money can buy. If you are having issues with the calibration of your CT Laser when following the provided instructions, contact CT Laser support. These Lasers have a 3 year warranty and if defective they will honor the warranty.

Saying that you flushed $300+ down the drain would be a choice, not a remedy!

If you truly believe that you wasted $300+ and want to throw your laser in the trash, please contact me and I will pay the shipping to my residence. I will except all lasers for all models that turn on if you want to throw it in my trash, postage paid! (Posted on 8/4/2015)

  12. Hands down the best you can buy for the1911 Review by Ellis

The Lasergrip for the 1911 is the perfect addon. I recently purchased one and installed it in under ten minutes on my Regent r100. IT was dead on accurate straight out of the box. I can't recommend a better product. No need for mounting a rail, or a guard laser. This is a perfect option. I am willing to bet my life on it!!! The grip is of high quality and the activation button is just right for me! (Posted on 5/12/2015)

  13. Laser jumps back and forth Review by C J

Bought a Kimber Crimson Carry II. Love the gun. Shot it at the range and the first few shots the laser was right on target then all of the sudden it was pointing very high and right compared to the iron sights. They had both been pointing the same. I adjusted the laser and a couple of shots later it dropped to low and left. Once again I adjusted it and a shot later it was back to high and right. I turned off the laser and shot some more using the iron sights. Later when I turned it back on it had jumped back to where it was to start with. I just leave it off now. Very disappointing. $300+ down the drain.

  14. Not 100% Instinctive. Review by John

I am in the process of lasering up my handguns. My first laser was a 305 for the wife's J Frame...Perfect for her.
Next came the 401's for the 1911's. I still need a 405 for my J Frame...

    Now for the goods...
On the 1911's the laser is not 100% instinctive... You will need to practice your grip. I had to change my grip ever so slightly to ensure good finger contact with the front activation button. I also had to be careful of my trigger finger getting in the way of the laser. All said and done, about 10 minutes to get it right...A few days of practice to commit it to muscle memory and there will be no more problems.
The only suggestion I can make to Trace would be to change the shape of the activation button from square to rectangular to compensate for grip differences.
All of this was to be expected...Any change to a firearm results in a learning curve!
    I am 100% happy...
Now all I got to do is scrounge up the bucks for the 405! (Posted on 2/26/2014)

  15. Very Good With A Caveat Review by GG

If you have an ambidextrous safety on your 1911 - these will not work. You'll have to cut off or remove the right side safety. (Posted on 2/9/2014)

  16. lil red dot Review by Carlos

I was excited the day my laser grips arrived years ago. They're still running on the original batteries and now I'm ready to replace them with the green laser. I've carried my pistol everyday for years and the windage and elevation have never needed adjustment. The feel is natural and best of all, I got to keep my original holster. Before I shop for my next pistol, I'm checking to see what my laser options are first. Happy shooting! (Posted on 1/16/2014)

  17. Remington R1 1911, Ruger LCP & LC9, zeroing 1911 was so simple. Review by Classicflh

I have purchased 3 CT Laser Sights and couldn't be happier. Sighting in my Remington R1 was as simple as putting the red dot right on aligned sight picture at 15 yards. Dead on. Absolutely tore up my last target with the 1911 laser.

When I replaced the battery and replaced the grips on the pistol, I didn't even have to readjust alignment.

My Rugers (LCP\LC9) are a blast to shoot without having to 'aim'. Just put the red on target and shoot. Shooting my LCP was a best guess before. Now I can count on the round going where it is intended.

I need one for a Makarov as well!

Laser Sights just make sense. (Posted on 10/25/2013)

  18. Have to be the best laser products out there. Review by VMAX

I installed these on a Springfield Champion and have not looked back since. These are the finest laser grips that you can trust your life on. They were dead on at the 50yds they claimed. The only complaint is that large fingers will hide the laser if you do not pull your trigger finger down just a touch to uncover the optics. Would definitely buy these grips again, without a second thought. (Posted on 1/14/2013)

  19. Don't know why I waited so long Review by NYS Officer

Just purchased these grips for my Dan Wesson, they fit and look great. Always thought lasers were a gimmick but now my time on multiple targets is drastically reduced with the aid of these grips. I can see a few more purchases in the near future.

  20. Fantastic Laser Grips Review by Lhannaf45

These grips were sighted in at 50 feet as advertised. At 21 ft you can't miss. The laser is so fun to use I have already drained the batteries teasing the squirrels. Very comfortable grips, I like the blacked out look better than the wood grips. Sure beats the government sights up close. Speed of sight picture is instant. Well worth the cost for self defense at home and carry. Clay pigeons look out! (Posted on 12/1/2012)

  21. Never carry without them! Review by GlockandKimber

I have bought three sets of CT grips, two for my Glocks and one for My Kimber cutsom II. The lg-401 is a little more than double the price than that of the Glock grips, but they are more than worth it. Don't buy the cheap ones to trust your life with, these are worth every penny. They feel great and best of all, function in any and every condition. The range test proved them to dead on between 15-200 yards with great lighting even at 200 yards. I will be a returning customer for future purchases. I recommend these to everyone, they won't change your grip, it feels natural. so I say if you're thinking about it..... Go for it! (Posted on 11/27/2012)

  22. Worth the money Review by Sgt. John

The average police officer's weapon will never be used in combat. But if that day and moment arrives you will be running on 100 octane adrenalin.

The CTC grip, like a parachute, can be your life saver. Draw, light up the target and get to go home. You will only need it once.

If you have a newer Colt consider buying the Wilson Ambi safety from CTC. (Posted on 11/11/2012)

  23. Makes a great Pistol better Review by Bruce

I added a set of these grips to my Kimber Custom TLE II. I have night sights on the pistol but getting them lined up takes time that you may not have. The laser gripis make target aquisition much faster. It also is a great training aid in improving trigger control and grip fundamentals. The product itself is top notch quality. The grips are comfortable and the fit to the pistol is excellent and tight. No self defense handgun should be without a set of laser grips. (Posted on 4/29/2012)

  24. Awesome Review by The Gimp

Purchased for a Springfield 1911 A1. I liked these because the grip wasnt clunky, didnt take away from the design of the firearm and worked flawlessly. It has been on this firearm for almost three years. Paying this much for a laser is well worth it once tried. I always get compliments on it and feel more confident knowing I have it when I need it. Cheers! (Posted on 3/15/2012)

  25. Great for dry fire training also Review by MachTurtle

I decided to get these grips for S&W Scantium 1911. I knew that I wanted to carry this gun so I thought that every advantage I could give myself, if the need ever arose, would be well worth it. Everybody knows how they help in low light conditions and how they are easy to adjust, but few people mention how they have likely paid for themselves in dry-fire practice. I, like most, don't get to shoot as much as I'd like. I have found myself useing the grips as a training aid during presintation from holster to target. You get instant feedback on your draw and if you cover something you didn't intend to.

Thanks for the great product. (Posted on 12/26/2011)

  26. best laser out on the market Review by Peter

this fits like a glove on my 1911, and in no time I sighted it in and its quicker on target and never miss a shot again. now I hope they can make one for a Makarov, but I will buy one for all my guns. keep up the great workmenship this is made in the USA. Thanks for the laseregrips (Posted on 12/18/2011)

  27. None Better. Review by CSP

These are the best grips I have ever tried on a 1911. Very little to no hand grip deviation and very easy to quickly get into use. I highly recommend these for 1911's. Top shelf product. (Posted on 12/13/2011)

  28. Wonderful Review by Mary

I love this laser sight. It is on my husbands gun so I am very envious.
I can hardly wait to get my own. Makes me a much more accurate shooter during target practice. (Posted on 12/12/2011)

  29. Love this Laser site Review by Bob

This was out of the box the easiest thing I have ever installed, works great and all my friends want one now. My wife wants to get one for her S & W Model 60. Christmas is coming so.. I also like the batteries for life and it's nice to know there are companies that still treat the customer great..

  30. Excellent product Review by Lt. Al

This is an amazing product. Easy to place on weapon and is very easy to use. Withstands "hardball" rounds. I've fired several hundred rounds through my Colt and have never had any problems with the Lasergrips. I highly recommend this for your 1911. (Posted on 12/11/2011)

  31. Worth every penny! Review by littleschipper

I purchased these grips for my Colt Combat Commander, it was my first handgun and I've had it since the late 70's. The modifications I'd made over the years were better iron sights (a fixed three-dot setup,) and a beavertail grip safety. The original sights were just awful, even for my eyes in younger years. Even though the pistol is very familiar in my hands, insitnctive shooting in low-light conditions showed a need for improvement. After installing these grips I was pleasantly surprised over how much my accuracy improved in low light. I can still focus on the target and the red dot naturally finds the right spot for excellent hits, even during rapid shots. I'm planning on getting another set for my wife's house gun, a Smith & Wesson 686 with a 2.5" magna-ported barrel. Kudos to Crimson Trace and the gun makers adding these to their guns from the factory. I can't imagine having a pistol without them now. Some people think they're too expensive and consider cheaper alternatives but for my money, they're excellent quality and worth every penny! (Posted on 12/11/2011)

  32. 1911 Review by selket2

this was the best investment on a assessory for a gun you can buy, its easy to put on and ready aim fire and on what the laser on the bullet will hit. and my next gun will have the crimson trace laser lets just say all my gun's will have crimson trace lasers.
thanks for a great product... (Posted on 12/10/2011)

  33. Wonderful solution for low light encounters Review by DinTex

The grips are mounted on a parkerized Springfield 1911. These arrive in a small black box, containing the grips, two batteries #2032, two grip shaped separators (goes between gun and grip), instructions, adjustment key, a cleaning "Q-tip" and some marketing material. It's packed well and sized such that parts would not fly around during transport.
Installation is a snap - unscrew old grips, put batteries in CT-grips, put separators on gun, put CT-grips on gun, fix screws.
Sighting is fast and easy. Choose your defensive distance (my take was 10 meter), use the key to ensure that laser dot sits spot on top of your sights. Done.
Shooting. After multiple range days with unholstering drills and shooting on the move, the lasers have held zero. During the day the laser (especially in bright sunlight) is not very evident. The grips shine in low light situations and during night shoots, as the laser gives an unmistakable point of aim and allows target acquisition even if the sights are next to useless.
Intimidation factor, as often stated here is unknown to me - I really hope I don't have to find out. Similarly, having a laser activated means that the other party does have a better target to aim at, something that leads me to cover/uncover the laser with my index-finger.
All in all an excellent solution. (Posted on 12/7/2011)
