  1. Don’t Buy Review by DRC

Bought laser grip for micro 9. Didn’t work out of box , tried multiple sets of batteries, assured laser in on position... Nothing. Made out of plastic, not nearly as nice as standard grip on Micro 9. Returned item.. don’t waste your money. (Posted on 6/21/2020)

  2. Junk Review by Big Musky

Finger blocks laser, switch doesn't activate laser all the time without messing with grip. Battery life seems low, haven't replaced batteries yet...hopefully that's all that is. screw fell out of grip and got lost cant find replacement..."out of stock". pretty good gun once broken in but this laser makes it seem like a toy. 3. Doesn’t fit the 6-round Version Review by ProFromDover

Purchased for my 6-round Micro 9. Turns out only fits the 7-round model. Ejection port side mounting holes don’t line up with the frame. Very disappointing because I have CT lasers on 4 other pistols that work perfectly. Sent them back. Wish the description stated meant for the 7-round model. (Posted on 9/27/2019)

  4. Great Customer Service... to bad it needed it so soon. Review by ColonelBob

Purchased a Kimber Micro with the cool CT laser grips. First week at the range... too cool. 7 yards all within the 7 ring out of the box. Next week, two shots and it just stopped. Well, who know how many people played with it on the wall at my local small business gun shop. I changed the batteries and the site went from a dot to a splatter. Went back to my local gun dealer. He called CT and the customer service was outstanding. They sent a new set and I had it within a few days. Too bad I needed to use their service so soon, but when I did, it was great. I would buy CT again, but I do not really like it on the Micro grip. Not CT's fault, just does not work for me because there is too much to worry about getting the right finger position on the button and looking for the red dot in a combat situation. It would be better if it turned on when my finger touched the trigger guard. Not sure if I am going to just practice and use the grip or put regular grips on it and call it a lesson learned. 5. Good Sites/Poor Visibility in Daylight Review by Bugle4m

I love all my Crimson Trace grips, however, they are NOT meant for shooting in full daylight. The laser is just not bright enough. I just bought a Kimber Micro 9 Crimson Trace and at 30 feet from the target, it is almost impossible to see the laser beam on a black target. Perfect for low light situations and close quarter combat. Inside my house and at night I wouldn't trade them for the full police force. In the day, especially with snow on the ground, you would need a full auto over 20 feet, or lots of time to acquire your target laser dot. They just need to be stronger. Someday I'll try out the green laser. I own four (4) sets of Crimson Trace sites, if that tells you how much I believe in Crimson Trace Sites. I wish I owned stock in this company. 6. Nice theory, terrible practice Review by jtmo3

Bought a new kimber micro 9 with these grips. Felt good, but finger does cover laser and you have to constantly be aware of that and adjust your grip somewhat. Besides that, in less than 2 weeks of purchase, the laser just quit between shots. Don't know if it's the switch or activation button, but I had just put new batteries in it because the original ones were already dying. Wish I would have bought the gun without these grips and saved the extra money for ammo. (Posted on 1/4/2019)

  7. ON/OFF switch Review by GABE

MY grips on/off switch simply went out after a year, thankfully it was in the on position, But is unfortunate when i want to shoot without the lasers on. (Posted on 11/20/2018)

  8. On Off switch issues Review by Kevingdds

I bought a Micro 9 from Kimber and immediately felt the switch was bad. I doesn't switch and click on or off. I sent it in for replacement and a year later, the same thing happened. The laser would not be on when I wanted it to be and vice versa. Customer service fixed the issue right away but I had to purchase another set of lasergrips while my defective one was being replaced and return them when the new set arrives. (Posted on 10/1/2018)

  9. Practice pistol hold Review by TDAWG

I like to rest my trigger finger above the trigger on the frame. With this hold you'll block the laser. If you've got small hand you'll have to rest your finger on the lower part of the trigger gaurd to keep from blocking the laser. Have had problems activating the laser while on the range.
Not dependable or maybe just needs new batteries. Just purchased the day before. (Posted on 7/11/2018)

  10. ON/OFF Review by Mark

I purchased my Kimber Micro 9 new with the laser grip installed. Previous reviews are correct, if you draw and shoot right handed, your trigger finger tends to block the beam. In my case, I am a lefty so no issue. But I do shoot with both hands just to keep up off hand skills. My issue is with the on/off switch. Shooting left handed tends to cause the on/off switch to move from off, to on. A really tight grip prevents it, but you have to squeeze the dickens out of it. (Posted on 5/17/2018)

  11. Blocked by finge Review by Jim

Love CT lasers, but agree with the others above. Very frustrated that I have to think about finger placement when I draw to aim. Probably would fail under pressure. (Posted on 4/13/2018)

  12. Blocked by finger Review by Bluerider

When I hold my trigger finger safe, on frame above the trigger guard, my finger blocks the laser. You cannot threaten with a red dot without a finger on the trigger. Also 20 miles of travel, inside padded case, in the saddlebag of my Harley caused laser to lose adjustment. Possibly needs loctite on grip screws, I Hope! (Posted on 4/10/2017)

  13. Laser beam blocked by trigger finger Review by Old Scrounger

I just purchased a Micro 9 with laser grips, but when I activate the laser in my normal right hand hold the laser beam is blocked by my trigger finger, causing me to have to readjust my hold to send the beam down range. The system works just fine in a weak side hold. My son also had the same problem, and neither of us have particularly fat fingers. A laser guard would work much better on this pistol but CT does not offer one. The pistol itself is great (5ASTI Stars), and the mechanical sights are fine, but I am almost 80 years old and I have CT sights on all my other carry pistols, and they all work just fine. 14. Seriously accurate laser Review by Richie

I just got a set of the lg 409 for my kimber micro 9.
They fit perfect and very easy to install and accurate right out of the box. I can't wait to put my kimber through the combat pace at the range.
So far so good. (Posted on 3/11/2017)

  15. Failure after 60 rounds Review by Mudcat

Bought new micro 9. Shot well and laser was right on ; however after several rounds it completely failed. Checking the on / off switch on the grip still on recovery of laser . Will check batteries but I think the failure is somewhere in the switch either the on/ off switch on the grip OR an issue with the pressure activator switch at front of the grip.
The micro 9 shoots so well , for my purposes I don't recommend a laser for this pistol . This was a factory installed criminson trace laser grip... Not worth the extra money for this handgun with already excellent sights. (Posted on 2/25/2017)

  16. Left Grip to sharp... Review by Harry

I purchased the Kimber Crimson Carry Micro 9, ordered two different holsters for it, both of "coarse" don't put a layer between me and the grip on the left side of the gun. (Holsters being the Desantis and the Azula OWB holsters) The problem I'm having is the rosewood grip is sharp and extremely pointed at the bottom of the grip. It digs into my side even with a T-shirt on. I called and spoke with Kinessat, she told me it would be alright to sand down the points, however the grip is black material under the rosewood, so it would change colors. Unfortunately, with that said, I don't like this grip. It's on a new $1000 gun which I really don't want warn looking grips. The laser is ok, seems to hold zero so far, but if the gun is uncomfortable to wear because of the sharp grip design, no good to me. (Posted on 2/24/2017)
