  1. Great Customer Service Review by John

I purchased Green Laser Sight grips for my Airweight. I had some problems with it, I expressed my concerns to the Customer Service and CT was on it immediately. They sent me a new pair right out and those work great. You might pay alittle more for CT products, but it is great having pros address the issues and standing behind their product. THANKS CT.

  2. On off switch Review by Dgm

The green laser is awesome! But once the laser is on, there is no cutting it of. No matter how much you push the button! Every once in a while I will get it out of my safe just to see if it magically fixed it self and it takes a minute of messing with but it will finally cut on for a few milliseconds and after removing the battery and putting it back in, it will finally cut on for good, but like I said, it will not cut off unless you remove the battery. I have emailed them twice and I have not gotten any response. It’s just a huge let down coming from a brand that I alway thought were the bees knees when it came to lasers! (Posted on 3/29/2020)

  3. On - off tabs don't work Review by Billythekid

On-off tabs don't work 100% reliably and when it does work sometimes the unit won't shut off and you have to take the battery out to cut it off !! There must be and easy fix to this problem because the unit is rather pricey for the lack of quality !!!! (Posted on 3/19/2020)

  4. Happy Review by John T

I received the Rail Master Pro G on Jan., 6, 20 and am completely satisfied with it's performance. The only problem came with installation. I am not used to applying so much force to small parts when installing the #2 insert into the cavity of the light unit. (Posted on 1/13/2020)

  5. Works for me Review by The Don

I installed this light and laser on my suppressed on a Ruger SR 22 no problems. The paddle switch is the ticket, Buttons are not as easy to find. kind of a lot money, but it works for all of my needs. (Posted on 6/13/2019)

  6. Glock 26 with green laser and light (not rail mount) Review by gene

The Glock 26 does not have a rail. But they fixed me up with The ProGuard green grip activated laser and light. Works great. At seven yards is my main concern! I put bull eye rounds with 3 10 round mags! Loaded a 33 round mag. and put all in the red, using Federal HST 147 grain FMJ hollow points! I love CT, They are the best. The green laser is so easier to see over the red and I have both. Also I own other brands that I won't mention here! But they don't even come close to the CT laser and light. (Posted on 7/5/2018)

  7. Solid and Reliable Light and Laser Review by Joe

I've purchased 4 of the CMR-204 Rail Master Pros, and overall it's a well made reliable and durable laser/light system. Plus it's effortless to use tap one of the ambidextrous paddles, and it's on, tap again, and it's off. Hold both paddles momentarily, and it will cycle through the various laser/light settings. The battery does really well plus Crimson Trace has a free battery program. The overall installation is super easy and installs in a couple of minutes. As far as the laser settings I've had zero problems in setting the windage and elevation. Plus once the laser is zeroed, it retains the settings even after heavy use. Some other manufacturers tend to lose their parameters and have to be frequently zeroed. (Posted on 5/25/2018)

  8. Wonderful Light / Laser Combo Review by Bryan

I use this combo on my work gun and really love the power of the laser on it. The light is bright enough to light up the range and I can still see the laser easily. No problems with it except finding a holster for it. It has lost its zero once in my 2 weeks of wearing it for and I had to re-zero. The mounting screws need to be changed since they are flathead and very difficult to find the slot unless you use a light. I wish there was a better way to adjust the laser since its annoying to find the tiny adjustment tool that comes with it. Still the best I have seen on a gun. (Posted on 4/13/2017)

  9. Love the system. Review by Ed

Easy to use and makes a good house gun a great house gun. (Posted on 4/4/2017)

  10. Great combination light and laser. Easy to use. Review by Ed

Acquired for my full size M&P.45. Made a good house gun into a great house gun. Have had no problem with this unit. (Posted on 4/4/2017)

  11. Well worth the price Review by Ed

Proudly added this to my full size M&P 45 ACP. Functions great and adds to the confidence I have in my House Gun. Have had no problem with this unit (Posted on 4/4/2017)

  12. Best light & laser combo for Glock G19 Review by Alwin

The best no snag tactical light & laser for my Glock 19! (Posted on 2/21/2017)

  13. Broke While Shooting Review by Travis

I've had it for a few months, invested a lot in holsters for it too. Although I do enjoy the laser, and the light is OK for the most part (would rather have 200 lumens). Anyways, I was shooting it this evening, and on the 4th shot the mounting bracket broke sending my railmaster pro down range. I had to grab a broom to sweep it back to me because it was a public range. For $380 I'd expect a lot more. If I hadn't already invested so much into the damn thing I'd just go buy a Surefire x300. Unfortunately I'm in about $250 extra in custom holsters as well. Fix your mount for crying out loud! (Posted on 11/22/2016)

  14. Not worth the price Review by HKP30

Overall, this laser is not bad, but for nearly $400, please do not purchase it. One major flaw it has is the activation switch, even though it is ambidextrous, it is not a click switch button, you literally have to mash the button until the laser turns on since there is no positive activation feedback. After about 30 clicks, the switch does not fully return outward. Second, the LED light is nice but would only use for a small or medium size room. The illumination is just not very bright.

Again, brillian concept, but this in not worth $400, not even $300, maybe $200-250

I would just buy the a standalone green laser and ditch the light. (Posted on 6/25/2016)

  15. Great product. Review by markkal

Great laser and light very easy to attach and zero in. Can t miss with it. Shooting faster, and more accurate. Can see the green even in daylight. (Posted on 4/28/2016)

  16. easy to install, cumbersome programming modes Review by rubrtoe

Regarding the bad review here, I think these gentlemen lack mechanical skills because the tiny nuts and bolts are very strong and have adequate holding ability, if not over tightened, which can only be achieved with an inappropriately large screwdriver with lots of torque. The inserts and the instructions are a bit confusing, but let me say this: It fits and secures to my cheap Highpoint 9mm With my home made rail! I had to cut another slot in the rail is all. so how hard can it be? It's true that the inserts do not fit the way they described because the same lug (slotted or unslotted is the choice of lugs on each insert) in doesn't always fit in the sight or the other way around. I beleive one or the other of each insert fits in the sight snugly, but none actually "snap in" as instructed. So somebody did indeed wrote poor instructions. plus they don't say which way the other lug goes on the sight, forward or backward! So I got the shortest one whcih weas too tall and honed it to rest snugly underneath my rail in the very front, facing forward in the sight.
plus this sight is very easy to sight in using the tool supplied. But mainly I'm not happy with the stupid "hold three seconds" to cycle through the modes crap. what this means is during a defensive situation, you only have the mode you previously chose unless you want to wait 3 seconds and cycle through the one you want while your life is in danger. Clearly this programmed mode is garbage and ill thought out. It should be, tap once for each mode, PERIOD. I put mine in laser only since I'm not fond of marking my position with a light to shoot at.and I don't think the strobe will fool anyone either. (Posted on 4/9/2016)

  17. Bought this for SAR 17H Review by Charlie Mankin

Bought this for SAR 17H that I purchased a bi-pod fore grip for. I placed it before the bi-pod and when screwing in the two tiny flat head screws it snapped.
Great Idea, I LOVE Crimson I own a piece on all of my fire arms. But this needs improving. Make the mounts recessed snapped in to the housing on a tighter and thicker basis. Then it would be good.

  18. Good Product but still has room for improving, I guess! Review by Phan

Crimson Trace CMR-204 Rail Master® Pro™ Universal Green Laser Sight & Tactical Light is the 3rd Crimson Trace GREEN laser sights that I bought. The other two are: LG 453 LaserGuard® 633nm, and CMR-203 Rail Master™ Universal Green Laser Sight. For this CMR-204 Rail Master® Pro™ Universal Green Laser Sight & Tactical Light, I had no problem attached on my S&W M&P .40 Full size. Shot more than 2000 rounds over a year (since 04/23/2014) with it, and just had to change battery once, so far it is still in good working condition, it still be able to help me to PUT the round on the target. The only thing that I am not 100% happy is its ON/OFF switch. It should be easier for changing mode instead of going though all 4 modes: Laser/Light Constant On, Laser Constant On, Light Constant On, and Laser w/Light Dazzler, to clear the last mode and reset a new one that NEEDED. In Home Defend situation, we DO NOT have time for that. (Posted on 8/16/2015)

  19. Rail Master Pro Green Light's excellence. Review by Jose (Joe)

I received my Crimson Trace Rail Master Pro, and I am just blown away. The only problem I had was deciding on what weapon to install it on. I guess I will have to buy some more in the future. But let me tell you this, the Rail Master Pro is just simply OUTSTANDING. I really don't know how else to say something about this product, I mean I am in awe when it comes to the Rail Master Pro. It is an experience you can only feel when you receive your Rail Master Pro in the mail, and then install and operate. Thank you Crimson Trace for this work of art. (Posted on 8/11/2015)

  20. $400 Paperweight Review by Iron Sights Never Fail!!

Got the Railmaster Pro Green less then 30 days ago. Already right side switch broke leaving the left side nonfunctional. To make it better this is my second day now trying to contact someone at CT.

For a fraction of the price I could have taped a flashlight and a laser pointer from Walmart to my pistol. Much more reliable I am guessing.

  21. Never even got to use it Review by Jim

Right out of the box I had hesitation while looking at the mounting hardware. I used the appropriate mounting block, no problems there. As soon as I started tightening it I was thinking in my mind no way this would hold a zero, kept tightening to where it finally felt some what solid and set the pistol down. I came back about 10 minutes later to put everything away, picked up the pistol and the laser fell off on the floor in two pieces. The mounting clamp broke just from being tightened. I would not want my life to depend on this item especially with the hard to operate switches. If you have to think about getting the light to shut off you are at a severe disadvantage. Needs a momentary on/off switch and a real solid mount to even be considered as a real tool. It is just a mall ninja novelty at this point. (Posted on 7/18/2015)

  22. Wish I received the Customer Service! Review by NCWildman

I've bought 3 of the "Rail Master Pro" green laser lights. Upon receipt, one had a very week battery & another was flat out dead. I had also paid to expedite & it arrived late. I sent an email but have never been made whole on these issues! I'm very pleased with the performance & accuracy but would be a much happier Customer if Crimson Trace would follow through. 23. Battery Problems Review by Walther 380

I have had my CMR-204 for nearly a year now. Due to the intense laser and bright light, there is a large drain on the CR2 Battery.
I thought that my unit was having problems when it started blinking, then would not shut off, & had to remove the battery to shut the unit off. This has happened a number of times now. But happens when the battery is LOW.
Put in a fresh battery and this should fix the problem. If not call tech support. (Posted on 3/27/2015)

  24. Horrible Review by Marcus

Had this thing for three days. Couldn't find an insert that worked well on my compact pistol which is a Steyr S40A1 I know its a less common pistol but the inserts are all roughly the same size and don't change the actual location of the unit on any rail. The plastic clamp design seems really bad and I had to tighten it so much I thought it would break just so it would hold zero. I had this in a soft holster because as we all know there aren't any other options yet. Something happened to the thing so now it wont shut off and I had to pull the battery. The switches are fully operational but I cant shut it off or change modes now. A buddy of mine had a holster made for him and during the process his got damaged and wont shut off as well. If this is a common problem I don't want a replacement. Tactical lights and lasers shouldn't be so easy to damage. (Posted on 3/22/2015)

  25. Won't Work with Taurus Millennium G2 Review by Dr.Tek

I was disappointed to find out that none of the inserts would work for the G2. I'm surprised that it isn't one of the models supported. Their claim of a "Universal" fit is misleading. I am hoping that they add it down the road. The CMR204 is always out stock. Leads me to believe that they have a replacement in the works. It probably won't fit either. (Posted on 3/14/2015)

  26. Railmaster Pro cmr204 snapped off m&p compact 40 from recoil Review by Stanggt24

I also purchased the ct railmaster pro cmr 204 in green and had the same problem but mine was from recoil while shooting it broke right off my gun which was a Smith & Wesson M&P compact 40. I thought it didn't fit properly from day one I was always tightening because it seemed loose. I contacted CT and told them I had only owned it for a couple weeks and wanted a refund for this POS product but was informed if I had bought it from them directly they would have replaced it no questions asked but because I purchased it from my local gun shop for wait for it $349 they wouldn't take it back. Luckily for me my gun shop is a legitate place and they were willing to take it back which I informed them I didn't want the money back because as we all know there's always another gun we want to buy so I replaced it with a m&p shield 4 and a small amount of cash. I will never by another CT product again Thanks to Tombstone Trading in Brookfield Ma for being a reputable gun shop. Rich (Posted on 1/24/2015)

  27. Green Laser & Tactical light Review by Tex

I bought this Green Laser & Tactical light, and could not be happier !
I have it on my Springfield XDm, 9mm.
Have not fired it on the pistol, but will just to check everything out...I'm sure it will be just sine. I own 5 other CTC Laser, and they all do what they are designed to do . They also send me FREE batteries when you join there CLUB.
I am looking for a houster for it .
If some one knows of one , I sure would like that info.
I am very pleased with everything I have bought from CTC.
Oh yes, I broke the base that holds the Laser to the rail, over tightened it, or it was not a good one. They send me another one at NO CHARGE, you just can't beet this Company.... I will always be a CTC custemer ... (Posted on 12/18/2014)

  28. Strong, Sturdy and Easy! Review by narbytrout

Rail mounted on my CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical 9 x 19. With the proper size screwdriver... this securely mounts in minutes. I zeroed it in at 30 feet with a bore sight laser.

Overall, I was good to go in less than 15 minutes with deadly accuracy!

The light is insanely bright, which surprised me that such a small thing could be so intense.

The bright green laser has been through at least 500 rounds and is still on target AND the battery is still going strong. (Batteries are EXTREMELY cheap at buy the cheap ones, they last just as long as the twice the price ones. I got 10 for about $16)

Crimson Trace CMR-204 Rail Master Pro FTW! (Posted on 10/11/2014)

  30. Great "carry" laser once you have a good holster for it! Review by Tim

This is a great laser I wanted for home defense. I also wanted the option to keep the laser on my Glock if I wanted to use it for concealed carry purposes. However, this light is so new, there weren't any options that I could find. I had a custom holster made the automatically engages the laser/light once unholstered. You can see it here. 31. Rail Master Pro for my Glock 19 Review by Daniel

The rail master pro is the perfect marriage of laser/light platform for my glock. I use it in various capacities such as teaching students proper trigger control and laser/light discipline during low/no visibility situations. I enjoy the small compact nature of the platform and it works every time. (Posted on 8/10/2014)

  32. Update Review by Rich

I bought another Rail Master Pro (green of course, lol) and moved the one off the Glock 21, since it had tall night sights for my suppressor and put it on my Adams Arms truck gun. I wish I could show you a picture of that gun. Cerakoted red, white, and blue. Screams America! The new CMR-204 went on one of my Colt 6920s. I have a mini ACOG on it, but the laser/light combo was the cherry on top. Crimson Trace rocks! (Posted on 8/9/2014)

  33. Horrible installation, poor instructions and no video to help. Review by striperbisher

I purchased this to go on my MP pro 45 full size and got it out of the box and read the instructions and could not find which of the small inserts to use with my gun. I tried all four and none would snap in. I looked on the website for a support video and found nothing. I went to youtube and found a video showing how to choose the correct insert and how to snap it in. I tried the number 3 insert and tried to snap it in the slot and felt if I applied anymore pressure I would break the laser in half. So I mounted on my rail on my MP Pro and screwed the small screws down very tight. I went to my range and shot about 8 times and the laser started wiggling on the gun. The screws had come loose. I know the insert is to secure the laser but how do you get it into the slot without breaking the laser? And in the instructions it plainly tells you which insert to use for the Glock but not for a SW MP PRO Full size. I tightened the laser back down as tight as I could go without breaking the screws and shot another 15-20 rds and once again it wiggled loose. I took it off and when I got home I once again tried to snap in an insert on to the laser so it would hold it on the rail. No luck. Basically I a 300+ dollar piece of junk that I cant use. I called CT support and they said go with the number 3 insert and yes I had to push very hard to get it to snap in. I asked the guy on the phone if I pushed and broke it would they give me a full refund and he said yes but it wont break. I put the insert into the laser and pressed it down as hard as I could and it would not snap. I suppose I could put the insert onto the laser and try and hit it with a hammer to get it to snap in but I am sure it will break. That is my next thing to try after I take it to my local gunsmith and pay him 20.00$ an hour to try and get it to snap in place. Need better instructions and need a video on how to get this into place. (Posted on 7/15/2014)

  34. Green RM Pro's All Around Review by Carlos

I ordered 3 rail matter pro sights with the green laser and I couldn't be happier with my selection. I gave one to my dad for his SA-XD45 and he was surprised to find it attached and zeroed in for him. The zero has stayed after several hundred rounds and repetitive trips to the range. I attached the remaining two to my SBR & my own 1911. The difference with shooting in daylight compared to my other red laser sights has improved my dad's aiming. It's a great tool to teach a novice how to aim. I have been a customer for a very long time and I'm always excited to get the new gear available even before the reviews because I've known CT's quality with their work. I shoot for fun with my family and friends and keep my home protected when I'm not at the range. Not having to grab a flashlight when things go bump in the night is peace of mind knowing it's always ready when I am. I don't need to mention the strobe, we all know that's just more praise for CT. 35. Green laser verses Red laser Review by 2013gs4lt

Just bought and installed the green laser version on my wife's Sig Sauer P229. Bullseye's at 27 feet increased dramatically on the very first range session. What a training aid the laser is. Wife's grouping went from all over the black like a shotgun to < about 2" - 4" groups of 14 shots and I'm sure she'll only get better with time. This green laser was very visible in full sun light where as my red center mass by Laserlyte was not. (Posted on 6/3/2014)

  36. Best CT laser yet! Review by Rich

I own five CT lasers. The CMR-204 Rail Master is the best one yet. I mounted it on my Glock 21 Gen4. The green laser is outstanding, and the ability to light up an area with the 100 lumen white light is amazing. The combination can't be beat! What is really great is that I can mount it on any of my weapons with a rail. To top it off, CT threw in a free Blackhawk laser holster. CT's customer service is like no other. I messed up my Laerguard LG-469 when trying to mount it on my Ruger LCP .380 and they sent me a new one! That's what I call OUTSTANDING customer service for an excellent product. They have earned a customer for life. (Posted on 5/10/2014)
