The LG-452 Laserguard® was Crimson Trace’s first GLOCK green laser sight and is designed to fit seamlessly on the trigger guard of most Gen3, Gen4 and Gen5 Full-Size and Compact GLOCK pistols.  The LG-452 takes the brilliant low-light sighting capabilities of red laser sights to a new level.  The human eye detects green more than any other color and Crimson Trace builds the brightest green laser available, making the LG-452 a versatile laser sighting system for all lighting conditions.

Providing over two hours of run time on a single (1) CR2 lithium battery, the green laser sight market has never seen such incredible battery life.  Additionally, the LG-452 Laserguard platform is the most lightweight and compact green laser sight available for GLOCK pistols.  The Laserguard is quickly and easily user-installed in minutes with zero alterations to the firearm.

In addition to the vibrant green laser, superb battery life, lightweight and compact engineering, the LG-452 features windage and elevation adjustments (with provided wrenches), and a Master On/Off switch which allows the shooter to completely power down the unit.

As with all Crimson Trace Laserguard models, the LG-452 features patented Instinctive Activation™ - a Crimson Trace exclusive.  Instinctive Activation allows the operator to activate the laser by simply holding the firearm with a normal shooting grip.

  1. Stopped working and Crimson Trace expects me to pay to ship it to them Review by Dennis Jacobs
    Rating

This junk stopped working after one and half years. Crimson Trace expects me to pay to ship them their piece of junk in order for them to look at it under their three year warranty. Poor customer service. Way to stand behind your product, guys. (Posted on 12/20/2016)

  2. Poor Design Review by JB1

I have two: One is on a Gen 3 and one is on a Gen 4. It works on the Gen 3, But on the Gen 4 it will not stay on because the button is not situated correctly. (Posted on 12/1/2016)

  3. This has some issues Review by Jim
    Rating

I have had three of these and had the same problem as several other reviewers. The location of the activation button is not correct and makes it difficult to get the laser to consistently turn on when firing.
After adding some tape it works for a while until the tape wears off.
The button is either located wrong or needs to be made larger so that you can activate every time without a problem. The laser itself is amazing once you get it turned on. (Posted on 7/26/2016)

  4. LG-452...GREEN IS AWESOME..But difficult to continuously stay on!!! Review by HotRod6969
    Rating

I purchased my LG-452 today from a large Crimson Trace dealer...I've done my research and concluded that Crimson Trace is the measuring stick all other manufacturers use..the dealer I purchased my LG-452 from has an indoor 20 lane pistol and rifle range from distances ranging between 20-50 yards. I tested my new LG-452 out on 5 different silhouette targets on a 20 yard shooting lane. Out the box and installed I fired 250 rounds through my Glock Model 22 Gen 4. 1 silhouette I put 48 of 50 rounds and the remaining 4 silhouettes I put 50 rounds of 50 rounds in each one. At 15 yards, I was able to put 35 rounds center mass and the remaining 15 rounds were in circles 9 & 8 adjoining center mass..The only issue I had was my grip was very uncomfortable due to my trying to keep the laser illuminated the entire time I had my full palm gripped..I found it difficult for the laser to remain illuminated during me shooting..in closing..GREEN IS AWESOME AND I feel the purchase/investment was definitely worth the money and I have no regrets!!! 5. Faulty laser Review by Phil

Put it on a snw shield 40 cal every 2 or 3 times I fired the gun laser would go off take laser off the gun move battery around would fire 2 or 3 more times same thing happened. Installed new battery's still would do the same thing Cleaned contacts ect still did the same thing. I think the 40 cal has to much power for the laser to work right (Posted on 12/17/2015)

  6. Defective design Review by Steve
    Rating

I have several CT Laserguards and several CT Laser grips and they are all excellent products, so I was expecting the same when I bought this green one for my Glock 19. Unfortunately, it looks like it was rushed to market too soon without adequate QA testing. As a few others mentioned above, the activation button is positioned too high up and too close to the bottom of the trigger guard. As a result, with a normal grip my finger doesn't press on the button consistently. The laser goes on and off and I have to constantly adjust my grip to keep it on. This makes it useless for its intended purpose. I let some friends try it at the range to see if was just something unique about my hand size, and they all had the same issue. I have found a temporary solution by building up the button with grip tape to make it larger, but it falls off every couple of days. The unit needs to be redesigned along the same lines as their other successful Laserguards. (Posted on 10/28/2015)

  7. On/Off switch is difficult to press Review by Mitch37
    Rating

On my Glock 35 Gen4 the location of the on/off switch makes it difficult to trigger the laser in a normal grip. The button is too high/tight to the bottom of the trigger guard. I can't get enough of my finger on it to trigger the laser consistently. (Posted on 7/25/2015)

  8. CT Needs to Redesign for the trigger guard Review by RSquare
    Rating

I would not recommend this laser until CT redesigns the placement of the on/off switch placement. The Green Laser is awesome but the mounting goes up and over the trigger guard which makes it a challenge for the finger to be firmly and consistently placed on the grip on/off switch. In a stressful environment you can not depend on the laser to turn on when you need it the post. Terrible design. I have emailed CT about the design flaw but I did not get a response. I've taken the laser off my GLOCK and will selling the laser. (Posted on 5/2/2015)

Stays on target, does not rub my finger raw, brightness is amazing, and in an emergency is immediately available when I draw on target...not inexpensive, but definitely worth it... (Posted on 4/26/2015)

  10. Excellent Design & Reliable Review by IvanPilot

I've carry a Ruger LCP-CT pistol for my all day carry. The Crimson Trace LG-431 installed by Ruger is set for a distance of 50 feet. I Have been using this setup for 3 years now, and the sight has remained true and correct. This convinced me to try the LG-489G on my Glock 17, Gen 4 and the reliability and accuracy are consistent. I practice weekly with my firearms and have noticed I engage my target faster and more accurately using the laser. My spread has been reduced from a 3" radius to a 2" radius in just 3 years. I find this helps me in aiming and also gives me the confidence I need to defend myself. (Posted on 4/3/2015)

  11. The best Review by Tee Jay
    Rating

CTC might not know this but with this style laser they solved the only downfall of the Glock pistol. This design wraps around the trigger guard and supports the front of the frame when firing multiple rounds and things heat up. That puts an end to the infamous "pig nose problem" these guns are plagued with. (Posted on 9/6/2014)

  12. Fabulous design, green is great! Review by Harry
    Rating

I "traded up" from my LG-851 to the LG-452 because this mounting allows me to use one of the accessory beavertail backstraps on the Glock. Also, the activation is more intuitive for me on the trigger guard mounted laser. I suggest that for Glock that does not have removable grips the trigger guard mounting is a better choice. (Posted on 8/9/2014)

  13. great laser....terrible design Review by Brian

I would not recommend this laser. The actual green laser is awesome but the mounting goes up and over the trigger guard so it wears your trigger finger raw. Terrible design. (Posted on 7/19/2014)

  15. Very Reliable Review by David
    Rating

I purchased two of the LG-452 lasers over a year ago - one for my Glock model 22 Gen3 full size and for the Glock model 23 Gen4 compact that I carry concealed. Both lasers have held zero following battery changes. I found that the smallest grip on the Gen 4 didn't put my finger in the correct position to push the activation button. Adding the medium size backstrap corrected my grip to put the pad of my second finger directly on the button. The only problem with this laser is having to get new holsters to fit. Markng the exact location the bullet will go with a bright green dot day or night is a great aid in dry fire practice and stressed situations where it isn't possible to continuously watch the front sight while holding the gun on target. 16. LG-452 Laserguard Glock 17 Outstanding!!! Review by Danny

I have the red Laserguard for my Ruger LCP & my LC9 and they are GREAT! But the green Laserguard on my Glock 17 is over the top! You can see it at twice the distance even in bright daylight. GET ONE! (Posted on 11/9/2013)

  17. About to get a second one. Review by Scott
    Rating

I've had this laser on my G19 for several months with no problems.
It is so well made that very soon I plan to get a second one for my G32.
I decided to spend the extra $$$ and get the green laser model LG452 and I don't regret it one bit.
The green laser is so bright that it also works well as a light at night.
I'm very impressed. (Posted on 8/15/2013)

Just bought this for my Glock 19 gen 3. Quite expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a laser, buy this and don't look back. (Posted on 5/15/2013)

  19. Great Product Review by IDPA_Tom
    Rating

I bought this for a G23, and it's been working great so far. It's only about 4 months old, but I've put a few hundred rounds through the pistol in that time and the laser has held up perfectly. No drifting of the zero, even with some +P loads that were quite "snappy". The only downside I can say is that I will need to get a custom made holster. I'm very happy that CT has included an on/off switch, so that I can make sure the laser does not activate (and drain the battery) when the pistol is being transported, cleaned, etc. (Posted on 4/13/2013)

  20. Where's the light? Review by groucho121

Go for the green, everyday, hands down.
IMhO.....these types of tools on a handgun are much more effective with a strobing, nice BRIGHT light.
That's been my experience & not something I read on the net or in some magazine. (Posted on 1/26/2013)

  21. Masterpiece Grip & Lightguard on 1911 Review by Olaffub

I have a Kimber Custom II TLE 1911 with both the CTC Masterpiece laser grips and the Lightguard; what a combo! When I'm on patrol (in my bedroom); searching under the bed, behind the dressers, in the closet, etc. the light/laser combo is deadly! Watch out dust!

  22. LG-452 Glock 19 Review by Nathan
    Rating

Fits great! Green laser is highly visible and very visible in bright daylight. A must for your carry weapon! If they don't make a green for your gun, get a gun they make one for. I bought a holster for the 19 then traded my FNX-9 for a 19 as soon as I heard about the coming release of this laser. Not disappointed. (Posted on 9/25/2012)

  23. I don't have one yet!! Review by Richard
    Rating

I have CT on all my handguns except one my Taurus Millenium 45 and on that one I have a somewhat bulky green laser with a bright tactical light built in. The green light is visible at 100 feet in bright daylight where the red is not. I'm wondering if the Green laser draws more power.

I will get a Green CT for my Glock 19. (Posted on 9/8/2012)
