Crimson Trace Introduces Archery Laser Sight: The LG-653
Wilsonville, OR —October 24, 2007: Crimson Trace Corporation, manufacturer of Lasergrips® firearms laser sights, today announced the introduction of the company’s first product for the archery market: the LG-653 for BowTech® and Diamond Archery® bows. This innovative new design extends company’s grip-integrated, instinctively-activated laser sight technology to a completely new customer segment. The LG-653 is being distributed exclusively through BowTech and Diamond Archery. MSRP is $299.
“Over the years, customers have inquired about Crimson Trace making archery laser sights,” said Lane Tobiassen, Marketing Director. “We partnered with fellow Oregon company and archery innovator, BowTech, to create the most accurate, easy to use archery laser sight available. The LG-653 utilizes proven technology drawn from our firearms products, including instinctive activation, rugged construction, and precise windage and elevation sighting adjustments. It’s fun to shoot, and is a fantastic training tool,” he added.
The LG-653 replaces the existing grip panels on selected BowTech, Diamond Archery and OEM bow models. A pressure-sensitive switch on the back of the grip instinctively activates the laser when the bow is drawn, and then turns off the laser when the arrow is released or the bow is returned to the ready position. Precise windage and elevation adjustments allow the user to sight the laser to exactly match a yardage pin at any distance.
Laser sights add an exciting new dimension to target shooting, hunting and training. As a training tool, nothing can match the real-time, visual feedback on grip torque, alignment, string release, and other issues affecting accuracy. Laser sights are legal for big-game and non-game hunting in many states, and can make the difference between taking a trophy or coming home empty-handed when the right animal shows during low-light shooting hours at dawn and dusk.
